Through my experiences, I hope to bring light, love, and positivity to everyone who visits. Whether you're looking for encouragement, reflection, or simply a moment of peace, you've found the right place.

Thank you for being part of my story. I look forward to growing and inspiring together!

Ready to Begin?

Have you ever felt like you're just working to survive — clocking in, clocking out, and pretending that the weekends are real days off? I’ve been there. For decades, I believed I was doing what I was supposed to — working hard, earning a paycheck, and dreaming of a better life. But the truth is, I was slowly losing myself.

My Story: From a Busy Worker to a Burned-Out Soul

I started working full-time back in 1989. Over the years, I moved through different jobs, mostly with the local newspaper for 18 years. When COVID hit in 2020, I thought I had found a new path — remote work. For three years, I believed I was finally gaining some control over my schedule. But that illusion shattered in February 2025, when I was laid off.
Suddenly, I was caught in a cycle of applying for remote clerical jobs, accepting them just to keep the lights on. And honestly? I hated it. I was just a number, judged on how quickly I answered calls or how long I lasted before exhaustion set in. My energy drained, my spirit faded. I felt like I was living someone else’s life.
And the worst part? I realized I was burnt out — physically, emotionally, mentally. I was struggling to pay bills, and my husband, working a regular 9-5 for a small law firm, was doing his best to hold us together.
I kept asking myself: Why are we all working like slaves? Why are we told this is just how life is? And the answer hit me hard: We’ve been led to believe that sacrificing our happiness is normal. That working into our old age is inevitable. But I refuse to accept that anymore.

Reclaiming My Life

Lately, I’ve been learning to breathe — literally. When stress creeps in, I pause to inhale deeply and exhale slowly. It helps me find a moment of peace amid the chaos. Even though I still aim to help my husband with paying the bills, I focus on handling only what I can today. I wake up each morning and commit to just dealing with this day — not stressing about tomorrow. I look for ways to make a little money, but I set limits on how long I spend online because I know it can be addicting and overwhelming. I remind myself: I don’t have to spend all my time on the web.
I’ve also learned the importance of stepping away from the computer or phone. I intentionally take time for spiritual things — prayer, meditation, or reading my Bible. I go outside to breathe in the fresh air, soak in the sights of the trees, listen to the sounds of birds, or watch the leaves sway in the breeze. One thing that has worked amazingly is taking a drive to our city lake or park to take a slow walk for 30 minutes. Anything that gets me out of the house, away from screens, and connected to nature helps my spirit breathe and renew.
I want to share this with others who feel lost or overwhelmed. No matter how dark the night, there’s always a new dawn. Faith, patience, and perseverance can guide us through. You are not alone—keep praying, keep trying, and hold onto hope. Although life may be challenging now, it’s also full of possibility. Trust in God’s plan for your life, and remember that even the smallest steps forward matter. Life is too precious to spend working solely for someone else’s dreams; it’s time to live for your own.
Every step you take, no matter how small, is a testament to your strength and resilience. Your journey may be tough, but it is uniquely yours—full of hope, growth, and the promise of better days ahead. Never forget, you are not alone in this. Keep moving forward with courage in your heart and faith in your soul.
I believe in you—and I believe in a brighter tomorrow.
